Alexandra Kaiss is an International Trade Specialist in Cassidy Levy Kent’s Washington, D.C. office. Ms. Kaiss assists attorneys and economists involved in trade remedy and related proceedings before the U.S. Department of Commerce, the U.S. International Trade Commission, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, the U.S. Court of International Trade, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
Ms. Kaiss graduated magna cum laude from American University, where she earned her B.A. in International Relations as a member of the Global Scholars accelerated degree program. With a specialization in Justice, Ethics, and Human Rights in the Middle East and North Africa, she has conducted award-winning research that analyzed corporate regulation in international economic governance structures and the institutionalization of nationalism in constitutions and reconciliation documents. She also spent a semester studying law and Arabic at Sciences Po Paris.
Prior to joining CLK, Alexandra gained experience across an array of legal sectors with a distinct focus on the intersection of law and economics. Beginning as an Albrecht Fellow, she developed, planned, and coordinated professional exchange programs in collaboration with the Department of State and USAID at The World Trade Center Institute in Baltimore. She aided immigration lawyers in introducing the Afghan Adjustment Act to Congress, supported decision-makers in the Middle East and North Africa through her research and policy recommendations at The Atlantic Council, and conducted data analyses for Amtrak to locate violations in The Federal Railroad Administration’s Metrics and Standards rule.
