Amy Morris is an International Trade Specialist in Cassidy Levy Kent’s Washington, DC office. Ms. Morris applies her seven years of experience in international trade and global economics by helping clients, attorneys, and economists navigate complex trade policy developments, supply chain insecurity, export controls and sanctions, and trade remedy proceedings.
Government Service
Ms. Morris has firsthand insight into government operations and processes. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Morris worked for the Office of the United States Trade Representative in first the General Counsel’s Office and then the Office of Trade Policy and Economics. She was head of operations for USTR’s public hearings regarding the Section 301 duties against China, supported the General Counsel during USMCA negotiations, worked on the team drafting the Section 301 Investigation into China’s Acts, Policies, and Practices Related to Technology Transfer, and was primary editor of the 2023 National Trade Estimate Report on Foreign Trade Barriers. Ms. Morris has key insights into the interagency process and the Trump Administration’s trade policy.
