Sam Thirumalai is an International Trade Advisor for Cassidy Levy Kent’s Washington office. Mr. Thirumalai has developed a strong foundation of SAS programming and antidumping experience through exposure to many antidumping case proceedings. He uses this experience along with his technical background to provide programming and analytical support to a variety of the firm’s work for clients in international trade proceedings.
Before joining Cassidy Levy Kent, Mr. Thirumalai worked as a SAS Specialist within the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Enforcement and Compliance division. There, he provided technical and programming assistance, developed enhancements to template programs for calculating antidumping margins, and helped implement decisions made by the decision-makers into their antidumping margin analysis programs. He assisted with the programming in countless case proceedings and has experience coding new and complicated methodologies.
Before entering the field of international trade, Mr. Thirumalai worked for a life settlements fund providing analysis and insights that helped optimize investment decisions. He also engaged in research into broader alternative investment strategies and optimized account values and premium payment schedules.
