Today the U.S. Department of Commerce announced the initiation of an investigation into whether the quantities or circumstances of mobile crane imports into the United States threaten to impair the national security.
According to Commerce’s press release, the initiation comes as a result of a petition filed by a domestic producer of mobile cranes. Commerce states its intent to conduct the review expeditiously following notification of a request for comments in the Federal Register.
