Deirdre Maloney is a Senior International Trade Advisor in Cassidy Levy Kent’s Washington office. Ms. Maloney has more than 25 years of experience working on a broad variety of international trade regulation and policy issues, including antidumping, countervailing duty and safeguard proceedings, market access issues, customs matters, and export controls.
Ms. Maloney is particularly experienced in all aspects of trade remedy proceedings. Her work has encompassed a diverse range of products and industries, including steel, chemicals, autos, furniture, textiles, agricultural products, and computers. She has assisted U.S. and foreign companies defending their interests in numerous proceedings before the U.S. Department of Commerce and the U.S. International Trade Commission.
Prior to joining Cassidy Levy Kent, Ms. Maloney worked in the international practices of two large U.S. law firms. She has also served as an international economist at the U.S. Department of the Treasury, concentrating on a range of development, financial and investment issues and programs, including bilateral and multilateral lending, CFIUS and OPIC. Ms. Maloney also was Technical Assistant to the US Executive Director of the Inter-American Development Bank and a senior associate at an economics consulting firm, where she provided litigation support in international trade and antitrust matters.
